Stay at home with the cats... or act on stage. My lifelong dilemma.

Wohoo!

Have had 2 BRILLIANT evenings in a row... which is kind of a miracle for me as I have become a really boring home-body recently - the kind of person I had promised myself I wouldn't become. You know the kind of person who stays home on Friday (and Saturday, and Sunday) night to work or, even worse, clean the house *shudder*.

On Friday, had a friend's wedding which was a complete blast! Got there with the hubby at about 10.30 pm, after rehearsals. Met lots of friends, including the gorgeous Pea of course, as well as Mal and his lovely wife. Erm... I then proceeded to drink quite a lot of wine (I needed the stress relief hehehe!). At about 2.30, they closed the place down and practically threw us last remaining revellers out! Crawled home and almost had to be carried up the stairs by an amused and patient hubby. I think though that he was actually relieved to see that I have it in me to have some FUN!

Yesterday, the actor brigade and thier posse hit the towns of Gzira and Sliema and proceeded to get blotto. The gang included the even-more-gorgeous-then-the-day-before Pea, the American actor taking part in our play, 3 Stagecoach tutors, a pharmacist, a guy I'd never met before but who was really nice and Maltagirl looking lovely in make up! What FUN! Everyone was just flabbergasted that I was out and not home in bed. How sad is that (as my friend Emma would say)?!?! But I really had a good time and have decided pub crawling is my thing hehehe! Having said that, I need to build up some stamina before I do the next one... I finished up going home, totally exhausted, at 3.30 am while most of the rest went on till nearly 6!

Ok, off for some coffee and lots of water and then rehearsals - am terrified of next week!

Indeed the Monty-wedding was a real blast. That chocolate fondue fountain was glorious and I ended up with chocolate on my tie, shoes, and wife. It was also cool when the police came to shut the music down and a drunk Wes started arguing with them and the catering staff.

Unfortunately, this only made things even more awkward when we returned the next day, hung-over and sheepish, to hunt for Wes's car keys...

2009 was a very good year for Sandra Bullock, bet basketball and the actress is bringing her big success right into 2010. Over the weekend, The Blind Side became the first female-driven movie to rake in over $200 million at the box office. sportsbook It's hard to believe yet incredibly empowering at the same time — even megastars like Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep have yet to hit the $200 million mark without the help of a male costar. I couldn't be happier to see one of Hollywood's most beloved actresses blazing a new trail, march madness and hopefully this is just the first of many big blockbusters we'll see from the slew other talented ladies in the industry. Plus, Bullock's award-worthy performance absolutely deserves the recognition, as does The Blind Side. Now, we'll just have to wait and see if her luck will continue throughout the upcoming award season — starting with the People's Choice tomorrow night.
